Literacy Projects

Creative Writing Project – Partner with the Anaheim Libraries and School Districts to provide a project to improved writing skills and encourage pride in their heritage.  The essay theme is “Finding my Voice – Telling My Story” for fourth, fifth and sixth graders at Anaheim Elementary Schools. 

Anaheim Boys and Girls Club – books, art material and other needs for Pre-school through High School

Anaheim Library – Provide new current books and magazines for all six libraries

Anaheim Reads – Provide books selected for city wide reading for high school students; sponsor the event

Boys Hope Girls Hope – provide books on National’s Organization’s Reading List and  partner in reading the books with students to earn scholarship money

Brea/Placentia/Yorba Linda Boys and Girls Club – provide books, art material and other needs for Pre-school through High school

Casa Theresa – Provide books and school supplies for unwed mothers

Fullerton Boys and Girls Club – provide books, art materials and other needs for Pre-school through high school

Hope Reads – Provide new or gently used books to patients and family members at St. Joseph’s Cancer Center

JOYA – provide SAT, ACT and AP prep material for students

Project Dignity – provide books and school supplies to children without an address

Pathways of Hope – provide books and schools supplies for children in transitional housing




Blankets with Love – provide books and blankets for children in trauma

Boys Hope Girls Hope – Prepare dinners along with students to teach them cooking skills, tutors and act as mentors

JOYA – Act as Board Advisors, mentors, tutors and participate in panel of experts

Pathways of Hope – Clean and restock apartments vacated for new families, teach art classes for kids, computer skills for adults and assist in program activities and work in their food bank.

Scholarships – provide scholarships for young women entering nontraditional careers and women reentering the work force.

Women’s Transition Center – provide weekly monies for fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs from the farmers market and volunteer in events.

Cops 4 Kids – Provide study material and books for the Senior Cadet's Program  (Jr. High Students) that assist students inbuilding a bond with the city and police department to keep them out of gangs.

Orange County Ronald McDonald House-Provide fresh fruits and vegetables as well as literacy material for the families.
